Ram Nath Kovind started his career in politics after being elected as Rajya Sabha member from Uttar Pradesh in 1994. Ram Nath Kovind sworn as 14th president of India, he was a lawyer who practised in the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court for 16 years. He served for two consecutive terms as a Rajya Sabha member from Uttar Pradesh.He also represented India in the United Nations in New York and addressed United Nations General Assembly in October, 2002.Amid his parliamentary residency, Mr. Kovind stressed on improvement of fundamental framework for training in provincial ranges and aided in the development of school structures in Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand under MPLAD (Member of Parliament Local Area Development) Scheme.
